Click here to visit Hilo Town
HIlo town is forty-five minutes away - a charming mix of old and new Hawaii. Though a full-fledged city, things move slower
here. Tropical rains nurture a vast array of flowers and foliage; Hilo is a strikingly beautiful town with the ocean in the
forefront and winter snow-capped Mauna Kea in the background. We love going to the farmer's market, which is every Wednesday
and Saturday morning. Many cultures come together here to sell their fruits, vegetables, fish, tropical flowers, crafts, and
more. We highly recommend this market for buying your produce and just for fun!

Click here for a volcano eruption update!
Volcano National Park has the most active volcano in the world. You most likely will be able to see surface lava flows or
even a lava ocean entry. The park is about fifty minutes from Dolphin Song. There are numerous hikes throughout the park,
and the lushest rainforest you may ever see. Vents spewing steam, brand new land, ancient petroglyphs, lava craters, lava
tubes, beautiful vistas and singing birds make this one of the most fascinating places on the planet.

Click here for photos of Pahoa Town
Pahoa is a small town twenty minutes away. It's the closest place to buy groceries, gas, and supplies. There's a good health
food store and some excellent restaurants. Pahoa was originally a logging town, then a sugar cane town, so there's lots of
history here, unique achitecture, and local color.
